Mike Fanello was a life-long resident of the Mansfield, Ohio area and attended The Ohio State University and North Central State College. Mike was married to his wife Sherry for 40 years and has three sons that are all involved in business. Previous experience came in a family owned blanking, stamping and tool & die business. Throughout the 33 years of employment, Mike worked in many areas of the business including:

  • Tool & Die Journeyman
  • Shipping & Receiving
  • Production Supervisor
  • Quoting
  • Quality Control
  • Customer Service
  • Purchasing
  • V.P. of Sales & Marketing

In 1999, Ohio Valley Manufacturing was established with the help of Mick & Rose Fanello. Mick & Rose assisted by purchasing land and presses, securing financing and giving a vision for the future. Since the inception Ohio Valley Mfg. has added presses, employees, quality systems and has grown to 120,000 square feet and as high as $38 million in sales.

Mike passed away on October 15, 2010 while cutting wood on the family farm in Lucas, Ohio. Mike was 62 years old. With the lessons learned from their father, Mike's three sons (John, Jeff & Steven) plan to continue on the same path as Mike and build a strong business for many years to come.

"Today, with the help of my three sons and the entire Ohio Valley team, we are looking to build Ohio Valley Manufacturing and continue the tradition that was established by the Fanello family." - Mike Fanello
