Apprentice Program
Ohio Valley Mfg. maintains an Apprentice Tool & Die maker program. The program consists of four years of machining related duties, die build and repair duties, as well as classroom academics.
This program is available to current and new employees who have the desire and amplitude to become journeyman toolmakers. The program conforms to the regulations set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor-Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.
Ohio Valley Mfg. also works closely with North Central State College. As part of a die advisory team, we assisted in implementing the Tool & Die Apprentice curriculum for students. As well as assisting in layout of their new Tool & Die center in the James W. Kehoe Center for advanced learning, in Shelby, Ohio.
Quality Position
Duties: Dimensional layout of parts, First/Last Piece, In-Process, and Final Inspection using the required inspection equipment and documentation in a metal stamping environment. Automatic Press Operator
Candidates need experience with automatic press line operations. Experience with progressive and transfer dies as well as a common knowledge of QS 9000 and quality aspects required.:: Inquire about this position (be sure to attach your resume).
Press Room Labor
Canidates are required to have a common knowledge of auxillary press line operations and material handling.:: Inquire about this position (be sure to attach your resume).
Tool & Die
Must have knowledge of progressive dies, blanking dies, transfer dies and proof of journeyman status.For non-journeyman status a apprenticeship program is avaiable.
